The Challenge

Tacktical was built on a direct challenge to how performance tack had always been designed. Competitive horses are athletes. Their equipment should be built accordingly, lightweight, durable, and purpose-engineered for performance, without asking riders to give up color and style to get it. That positioning, backed by Fallon Taylor's credibility as a world champion, attracted a customer who felt strongly about the brand and wanted to talk about it. Barrel racers, rodeo competitors, and western performance riders are already documenting their horses, their gear, and their training on social media. When they find a product that actually performs at the level they compete at, they tell everyone. The gap was infrastructure. That organic word of mouth was happening without any tracking, attribution, or reward structure behind it. The team had no way to measure what the community was driving, no way to give ambassadors a personalized code to share, and no system for compensating creators who were actively sending customers their way. As the brand grew, the need for a real program became clear.
